Classical Yogasयोग
Special planetary combinations (distinct from the daily Panchang "Yoga" limb) that classical texts name and describe individually — each Yoga is a specific pattern of planets by house/sign placement said to produce a particular life theme when present, e.g. wealth, fame, or spiritual inclination.
In practice
This app checks your chart against a set of well-known classical Yogas and lists which ones (if any) are actually present, along with the planets involved and a short description of the Yoga's traditional significance — not every chart has a notable Yoga present.
How it's calculated
Each Yoga has its own specific classical rule (e.g. Gajakesari Yoga requires Jupiter to be in a kendra — 1st/4th/7th/10th house — from the Moon) checked independently against your chart.
⚠ The exact list of Yogas checked and their precise classical rule-sets vary across texts (Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra vs. later compilations) — this general description covers the concept, but the specific Yoga names/rules implemented server-side should be reviewed individually for accuracy.
