A holistic timing technique that looks at your chart through three simultaneous "layers" — one centered on your Lagna, one on your Moon, and one on your Sun — each with its own set of 12 houses. A given year of life activates the same house number in all three layers at once, and events are said to manifest most strongly when all three layers agree.
Rather than reading your chart from a single reference point, Sudarshan Chakra cross-validates by checking whether the Lagna, Moon, and Sun layers all point to a similar theme for a given year — three layers agreeing on, say, career (10th house) is considered stronger confirmation than reading the Lagna layer alone.
Each year of age (year N) activates house N (wrapping every 12 years) in each of the three layers simultaneously — the planets occupying that house number, counted from Lagna, Moon, and Sun respectively, are examined together.
