An Ashtakoot factor worth a maximum 3 points — the same Nakshatra-counting concept as Tara Bala (see the Personal Muhurat glossary) applied to marriage compatibility: counts the distance between the couple's birth Nakshatras and checks whether that count falls in a favorable or unfavorable category for destiny and health.

In practice

Used specifically to gauge the couple's shared destiny and general well-being/health prospects together, distinct from the Nadi factor's narrower focus on genetic/physical health compatibility.

How it's calculated

Counted both ways (groom-to-bride Nakshatra distance and bride-to-groom), each reduced modulo 9 into the same 9 Tara categories used in Tara Bala — scored out of 3 points based on how favorable both directions come out.
