Yogini Dashaयोगिनी दशा
An alternative planetary-period system, less commonly used than Vimshottari but still classically significant — cycles through 8 "Yoginis" (each linked to a planet) over a total 36-year cycle, repeating multiple times across a lifetime.
In practice
Some astrologers use Yogini Dasha as a cross-check alongside Vimshottari Dasha — when both systems agree that a particular period is significant, that agreement is traditionally taken as added confirmation.
How it's calculated
The 8 Yoginis are each assigned a fixed number of years within the 36-year cycle; your starting Yogini (and how far into her period you were at birth) is again determined by your birth Nakshatra.
