One of the 8 Ashtakoot factors — checks the counting distance between two Moon signs (2nd/12th, 5th/9th, or 6th/8th positions from each other are traditionally considered problematic), worth a maximum 7 points, the second-highest weight of all 8 factors.
A poor Bhakoot match (a 2/12, 5/9, or 6/8 relationship) is traditionally considered one of the more serious compatibility concerns, sometimes weighted heavily enough to affect an overall recommendation even when other factors score well — though this app also checks for the classical Bhakoot Bhanga cancellation (see that entry) which can offset the dosh.
Counted as the number of signs between the two Moon Rashis; distances of 2/12, 5/9, or 6/8 from each other score zero (subject to Bhakoot Bhanga cancellation), all other distances score the full 7.
