North Indian Chart Style
A diamond-in-a-square visual layout for drawing a birth chart, where the 12 houses occupy fixed geometric positions on the page and the zodiac SIGN in each house changes depending on the Lagna — the opposite convention from the South Indian style, where signs stay fixed and the Lagna's position moves.
In practice
Both styles show identical underlying data (the same planets in the same houses) — North Indian style is simply the visual convention this app uses to draw it, common across North India, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
How it's calculated
Purely a rendering convention — house 1 is always the top-center diamond, with houses 2-12 following counter-clockwise around it; the "ASC" tag marks whichever house is the 1st (Lagna).
