Karakamsha (Atmakaraka Chart)कारकांश
A Jaimini astrology chart re-housed so that the Navamsha (D9) sign of your Atmakaraka planet (see Chara Karakas below) becomes the 1st house — used to examine the soul's deeper purpose and life direction, a more esoteric layer of analysis than the standard D1/D9 charts.
In practice
A specialized, Jaimini-system tool — most useful if you're already familiar with the Chara Karaka framework; on its own it's a more advanced concept than most other items in this glossary.
How it's calculated
Take the Atmakaraka planet's position in the D9 Navamsha chart; that sign becomes the Karakamsha's 1st house.
