KP System (Sub Lords)
Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) is a modern refinement of Vedic astrology (developed by K.S. Krishnamurti in the 20th century) that divides each Nakshatra further into 9 "Sub Lord" segments, and each of those into further "Sub-Sub Lord" segments — giving an extremely fine-grained way to pinpoint exactly which planet is truly "in charge" of a given position, down to fractions of a degree.
KP practitioners often consider the Sub Lord (not just the sign or Nakshatra lord) the deciding factor for yes/no predictive questions — this app shows Star Lord, Sub Lord, and Sub-Sub Lord for each planet, plus which house (via Placidus "Chalit") each falls in, and a set of "Ruling Planets" (Ascendant lord, Ascendant star lord, Moon lord, day lord) used together as a KP-specific timing technique.
Each 13°20' Nakshatra is divided into 9 unequal Sub Lord segments, sized in proportion to the same Vimshottari Dasha year-values (e.g. Venus's 20-year proportion gets the largest slice) — and this same 9-way division is applied recursively for Sub-Sub Lords within each Sub Lord segment.
