Bhava Chalit (Placidus Cusps)भाव चलित
An alternative house system to the main chart's whole-sign houses (see Bhava above) — computes each house's exact starting degree (cusp) using the Placidus method (a Western astrology technique adopted for KP-style analysis), which can place a planet in a different house than the simpler whole-sign method would.
This is specifically the house system KP practitioners use (not the main whole-sign chart) — if a planet's house placement here differs from the main chart's whole-sign placement, that's expected and not an error; the two systems are simply answering the question differently.
Placidus divides the sky based on the actual time it takes points along the ecliptic to rise, rather than dividing the zodiac into equal 30° whole-sign blocks — this produces unequal-sized houses whose exact boundaries depend on birth time, place, and latitude much more sensitively than whole-sign houses do.
