Manglik Cancellation (Dosha Bhanga)दोष भंग
A set of classical exception rules that can significantly reduce or fully cancel Manglik Dosha even when Mars technically sits in one of the six affecting houses — the presence of Manglik alone, without checking for these exceptions, can overstate the concern.
This app checks for several cancellation rules and shows exactly which ones apply to your chart, if any: Mars sitting in its own sign (Mesha or Vrischika) or exalted (Makara) reduces the dosha significantly; Jupiter aspecting Mars gives a partial cancellation; Venus or Jupiter conjunct Mars each reduce it; the Moon conjunct Mars (a separate combination called Chandra-Mangala Yoga) is said to channel the aggression into ambition rather than friction; and several house-specific sign combinations (e.g. Mars in the Lagna in a fire sign, or in the 7th house in Makara/Karka) cancel the dosha outright. Conversely, Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu aspecting Mars are aggravating factors that add pressure rather than cancelling anything.
Each cancellation rule is its own specific classical condition (sign, house, and aspect combination) checked independently against the chart — the "effective severity" shown combines the base Manglik confirmation with however many cancellation rules actually apply.
